Line and Form: Compositional Elements

In class today we looked at the composition of space. We looked at André Le Nôtre's plan of Versailles and his use of line to lay out his plan.

See below my annotated version of his plan where you can see the use of the goosefoot lines to highlight lines of site. Also the use of a grid to create symmetry in areas of the interest such as the gardens and barracks.

See below my attempt to use similar methods to create a plan of North Place car park.
