In the UK our winter climate forces many of us to give up on gardening till the spring comes back round. However, during the colder months, I've found focusing on my house plants can be very rewarding.
See below a photograph and sketch of my Spathiphyllum wallisii with a beautiful winter flower. Other winter flower houseplants include Poinsettia and Orchids.
